We're on a mission to save the bees

A global movement powered by adventure, community, and a commitment to protecting what matters most.

You care about the future, and so do we.

Maybe you've noticed fewer bees in your garden. Maybe you've read the headlines about declining pollinator populations. Maybe you're worried about food security, climate change, or what kind of world we're leaving behind.

You're not alone. Millions of people around the world share these concerns—but often feel powerless to create change.

That's where we come in. Blading For Bees is proof that one person, one community, one action at a time, we can make a real difference. This journey isn't just about what one man can do on inline skates—it's about what all of us can do when we come together for something that matters.

Because saving the bees isn't just an environmental issue—it's a human issue.

From a dream in the Atlantic Ocean to a global mission

In 2021, Zach Choboter set off on a record-breaking journey across Canada. Three months and 10,093 km later, with the heroic help of Rachel Choboter, they landed in Quidi Vidi, Newfoundland. As they jumped into the Atlantic Ocean, a dream was swept around them just as the water filled Zach's skates. We must now do all we can to save the bees!

Since that moment, Blading For Bees has grown into something we are all incredibly proud of—a full-fledged organization with the sole goal of helping bees all over the world. Our team takes on epic adventures on inline skates to show what we're willing to do to help the bees: across Canada, alone and unsupported around Iceland, and many others.

Now, we're taking our mission global. The Blading For Bees journey is built on proven endurance and meticulous planning from our previous records. We've established partnerships with leading environmental and humanitarian organizations and assembled a dedicated team of travellers, remote coordinators, filmmakers, and medical professionals. We've implemented rigorous safety protocols, secured visa arrangements, and developed strategic media partnerships.

We've done the homework. We've tested the limits. Now we're ready to change the world

We've partnered with trusted organizations that create real impact

We don't just talk about making a difference—we've partnered with organizations that are already doing the work:

Logo with the text "POW" and a snowflake symbol, along with the slogan "Protect Our Winters | Canada".

Meet Zach

Founder of Blading For Bees

Zach is the kind of person who sees a crisis and refuses to stand still. After setting a Guinness World Record skating across Canada while raising awareness for bees, he could have stopped there. Instead, he saw an opportunity to turn that platform into real change.

He's spent the last few years building Blading For Bees from a bold vision into the organization it is today. He's visited schools, spoken at events, skated around Iceland solo, and assembled a dedicated team who share his commitment to protecting the planet.

He's relentlessly optimistic, leads by example, and genuinely believes that one person can spark a global movement—especially when that movement is for something as critical as saving the bees.

Our Mission

To raise $1 million for pollinator protection and world hunger relief while educating millions of people about the critical role bees play in our food systems—all while becoming the first human to circumnavigate Earth on inline skates.

Our Values

We believe in action over words. We don't just talk about change—we create it. Community comes first for us, whether it's bees working together in a hive or humans supporting each other across borders. We lead by example, showing up and doing the work while inspiring others to do the same. Transparency matters to us—every dollar, every kilometer, every decision is made in the open. And we practice optimism in action, choosing hope, hard work, and persistence even when challenges feel overwhelming.

Our Vision

A world where people understand their connection to the environment, where communities come together to protect pollinators, and where taking care of the planet means taking care of each other.

What happens after the journey?

Blading For Bees Earth is just the beginning. After we return to Vancouver in late 2026, the work continues.

We'll be releasing the feature-length documentary, publishing Zach's book, and hitting the media circuit—morning shows, podcasts, major publications, and news outlets to keep the conversation about bees alive. We'll visit schools to educate the next generation, speak at conferences and events, and continue expanding The Blading For Bees Foundation's reach and impact.

This journey is the catalyst. The real work is building a movement that lasts.
